Green Berets
Conduct an interview with our leadership. Take the document we provide to your career counselor. Continue your GB career in the TXARNG.
Guard / Reserve
Tryout for and complete the TXARNG SFTP. Get selected at SFAS and complete the SFQC. Start your career as a Green Beret in the TXARNG.
Army / Marines
Get selected and await your ETS/EAS date. Enlist in the TXARNG and complete the SFQC. Start your career as a Green Beret in the TXARNG.
Civilians
Enlist as an 18X and complete Infantry and Airborne. Get selected at SFAS. Complete the SFQC. Start your career as a Green Beret in the TXARNG.

What is Special Forces?
Falling under the umbrella of Special Operations Forces (SOF), Special Forces is the United States military's premier Unconventional Warfare force. The missions undertaken by Special Forces encompass a broad spectrum of capabilities, including Unconventional Warfare, Counter-Terrorism, Direct Action, Foreign Internal Defense, and Special Reconnaissance. Operating in self-sufficient teams comprised of 12 individuals, Special Forces Soldiers are well-suited for both sensitive and demanding missions that require mental agility as well as physical stamina.
Special Forces operates globally, from playing key roles in Operation Enduring Freedom to humanitarian work in Africa and counter-narcotics in South America. National Guard Special Forces have additional missions stateside providing unique resources in response to disasters such as hurricanes, floods, and tornadoes.

Complete an application and pass a Special Forces Assessment to enter the Special Forces Training Program. You will be attached to us, so your only focus is on getting selected at SFAS. There are only three classes per year so get your application in today!
